ok, so it has been a long time since i last blogged. actually no, cuz i have a counter of the exams just before this post. yes, the exams... its nearly over, but not quite. hang in there! wont say anything about it until after exams.. for now.. i think i shall say something about something quite contreversial in singapore currently...

blogs. an online diary. a personal webpage. a place to express your views. different people have different opinions as to what a blog is. my opinion is this: its a place where you blog whatever you want, but keeping in mind that it is on the internet and can be read by other people. i started blogging last year, before blogs were acutally featured in the newspapers, so in case anyone says that i created a blog to keep in fashion, you're wrong.
blogs are now coming under scrutiny by the government. okay, so we should have expected it to come to this stage where by bloggers are not able to say whatever they want freely. its not surprising, with the growing number of people starting blogs. im not directing this at anyone in particular, but isnt all this talk about blogs rather ridiculous? i mean seriously, people have been insulting others on blogs long before, but maybe the others arent aware of it, or they accept it as other peoples opinion. and come on, arent some people just being over-sensitive? call me childish or whatever, everyone has a reason for posting whatever they say on their blogs, be it insults to teachers, crude language or whatever. they are just expressing their point of view, and just saying what may have been on their mines, and they felt that it was the only way that they could truly express their anger was through the use of vulgarities. agreed, it may not be the best way to say it, but again, are we being over-sensitive? just accept that the person who is blogging it is immature and just move on with your life.
i dont deny that there are people who post such stuff just to be popular with others, especially since its "cool" to insult others on a blog. but isnt there a reason behind all this? could it be that things get carried away? the idea of awarding the most creative blog, if you ask me, is really pointless. its one of the main reasons for all this contreversy. 8 days having their worst blogs in singapore isnt really helping either. im a supporter of 8 days, but some times things like this just doesnt really help.
maybe we should all just reflect on what has happened and ask ourselves, " are we being over-sensitive?"
~once more, i re-emphasise the point that this is my blog. no, i am not trying to copy other people by creating a post like this. if this blog entry has no impact on you, especially if you are one of those people who slam bloggers, than so be it~

ok, decided to update.. after blog hopping.. clicking next blog after next blog... really nothing better to do it seems.. 2 am in the morning and im still not asleep, and also on the effects of coffee. im going crazy, thats not good. i havent studied enough, thats not good. im hungry, thats not too good... things looking quite bleak.. im unmotivaed to study right now.. dunno why, i just wanna have fun. NOT GOOD. need to find myself. fast. than get on with the mugging i should have since dunno how many months ago..

-Exams.-
exams are like, 2 weeks away now. starting to focus, but then now i start questioning myself: why do we have exams? and why am i working so hard? what is the point? truly? i find it hard to understand. what will it test us on? physics? chemistry? will any of these really be useful in the job which we get? what good will knowing how to do stoichiometry be? will we really find all that useful in our life? will it help?
but listening to my blog song, i think of eurojam. and i think of scouting. and i think of the people in scouts. all my friends. shih hoong, trent, chin hao, marcus, karjun, gabriel, darren and all the other scouts. they all are quite successful, and i dont deny that. but why, that is also what i have been asking myself. how is it that people like shih hoong, trent and chinhao, the 3 who also went for eurojam, how is it that they are able to be so active in scouts, and yet are still able to get top positions in scouts? and i wonder.
and i realise. it all boils down to one thing. attitude. attitude in everthing, studies and scouting. the exams test us on our disciline, on whether we will actually study. whether we do the right thing and prepare. as much as we hate it, its not so much the end result that we should look forward to, rather then the process of getting there. studies is more about the preparation than the exam, but of course things get carried away a bit but the main thing is, we should not worry ourselves too much about the result, but rather the process. same for scouts. its the attitude. i admit my attitude in scouts wasnt as well received as shih hoong and trent, and i suppose that was my mistake. but what is gone has been done. and we cannot change it, and can only look forward to the future. so onward, lets just push during these last weeks, and than let us bear the fruits which we reap!
there is a line in my blog song which says "Little do we know ourselves, the power that we hold!"

haiz.. just cant seem to be able to concentrate on my work.. i want to do work, but just dont feel like it. cant focus, keep thinking of.. dunno, stuff? my chemistry is damn screwed, really regretting not listening in class to tan choy pin.. now rushing alot.. and i wish i had my lit file with me now.. though i prob wont actually study even if i have it.. arghs.. just. cant. seem. to. concentrate. help.....

lol.. ok, stupid title. back from scouts leader's retreat. quite a lot of planning for our leadership in scouting. also a lot of soccer. lol.. i have confidence in our level.
right now feeling very distracted, cant seem to concentrate on my work.. just dont feel like studying.. damn..
-Off to Camp-
ok.. so i will be away until tuesday... cuz i got a leaders retreat.. oh ya by the way, my exams are like... 3 weeks away? wow.. lets just see how much i can get from this camp.. byez all... take care...

-English End of Year Examination-
ok, so tomorrow is english end of year.. dunno why the school wants to push english so early when all the rest of the exams are like about a month from now.. i meanits like its after teachers day celebration, which as the school mentioned it would be nice if we could go back to our primary schools and visit our teachers. but, wouldnt this just make it more difficult for us to get into the examination mood? but i agree it is our own choice.. anyway, im quite scared of tomorrow's exam, even though it may be english and is a topic which requires relatively little studying. oh well, hope i can do well.
