-First Class Hike: 10-11 Nov. 2005-
i. am. dead. tired. seriously. haha..
yea, i just came back from my first class hike.. which was honestly.. tiring.. k, let me recap what happened..
10 Nov
[7:00am] i reach school same time as lu zhi, so we lay out all of our stuff. gabriel is no where in sight.
[7:30am] gabriel just arrived, with some really un neccessary stuff. we lay out his stuff.
[7:45am] kj inspects our lay out. we take photo, then pack up.
[8:00am] all the hikers fall in, then mr kwnag briefes us about the hike, gives us our hike logs, and then sets us off...
thats about as detailed as it can get. lol. so i will try to write down the major things about our hike.
like after we are set off, we wait in the canteen for a while, then just nice the librarian comes up to us, starts blabbering some stuff which honestly none of us understood, but we just smiled at her... then we took bus all the way to chua chu kang mrt, then we took mrt all the way to marsiling, then started on our starting point. then went on to our next few checkpoints, and i remember having a really hard time finding chua chu kang cc.. we were like crossing the road over and over again.. only when we saw the sign which was pointing the way to the cc did we realise how to get there.. was really really tired when we reached.. slacked alot.. hmm.. other memorable stuff... had some problem getting the sec 1 to walk faster... so since we couldnt push them spiritually, we pushed them physically. so lu zhi led the way while i was at the back pushing the sec 1 on. as much as it was cruel, it got us to where we wanted, and it certainly helped. and honestly, if i didnt do that, i dont think that we would have completed the hike on time.
another thing was when we reached west coast park. we entered into car park 2, then rested there for a while, with the intention of walking over to the macdonalds area to rest. so yea, we started walking.. and walking.. and walking.. all the way until we came to this dog run place. and we were like huh??!! omg, we were acutally walking in the wrong direction!! thanks to stupid me.. so.. i apologise to my followers for having been mislead by me. i am truly sorry.
so we reached the place at around 8++ before 8:30 though..so cooked dinner.. then me and chin hao started on our log.. so we climbed up the pyramid since there werent any proper chairs or benches around.. so anyway, imagine me, chin hao, luzhi, and a few others up at the pyramid. then imagine some sec 1s rushing to the pyramid, saying "sec 3s, sec 3s, shannon is injured" so im like thinking "come on lah, the last time they said someone was injured all that guy needed was a plaster" so i kinda ignored them.. =S then they shouted again "shannon is injured" so i turned my head, and nothing in this world could prepare me for what i was to see. i looked at shannon. his shirt. was red. blood. i rushed down as fast as i could, then brought him to the pavillion, then tried as best as i could to treat his wound. it was a gash across his head, and a very deep one at that. at that moment, i really didnt know what i should do. all i could think of was clean the wound, meanwhile andrew called kwang, then i bandaged his head, then we managed to get someone to give shannon, lim chuan and andrew a ride. so everyone was pretty much freaked out after that..
then second day was very very slack.. we were walking REALLY slowly, and stopping at each checkpoint for really long.. but we still got to telok blangah npc without cheating at all! =) before 11! haha.. so then since me and chin hao reach there around the same time, we both treat our followers to drinks. so.. heres some acknowledgements:
[lu zhi] i really want to thank you for helping me throughout this hike, u have been really help ful, no sarcasm meant. thanks for helping me to lead the way while i pushed. haha.. thanks, i really dont know how i would do it without you =)
[gabriel] thanks for following me on hike, hope you will have more experience in your future hikes, and you will be able to manage it better! =)
